Its a rare play-through that I don't field a T-bolt, albeit modified. There is one further issue: the Thunderbolt is one of the best heavies in the game. Still, knowing that the enemies randomize, if you see a mech you want to bring down strategically so you can preserve the chassis, you probably won't have that opportunity if you reroll, so use this tool wisely.Īs far as I can tell, saves tend to occur just before deploying on a mission and just after, so if you're really in a bind you can load the save before the starting the contract and mix up your lance a little to better suit the tactics and environment you'll be fighting in. When I restarted the random mission that had the assaults, the resulting enemy lance was not 2 heavies and 2 mediums- hardly the same danger level. However, this also can change the foes you're going against. This isn't a "git gut" suggestion knowledge about where the enemy lance drops and how to position according to your strengths can turn the tide even against harshly powerful opponents. In situations like this, I could heavily recommend the "Restart Mission" button in the Escape screen. ![]() ![]() Just recently I took a 3.5 skull mission and two Assaults strode on up, one being an Annihilator. The mechs in enemy lances start varying wildly, sometimes harshly in their favor. While missions should never be strictly impossible, there can be a pretty hard turn in the learning curve road around the time 2.5 - 3 skull missions start showing up.
